The Galileo Project was definitely a interesting day, When we arrived at the building and met Superintendent Kelly, I realized that this might be more intriguing then I thought it would. When we arrived at the Conference room I was just as shocked as the rest of the group when they explained that we would be split up. "Oh the Horrors!" I was place at a group with 4 students a teacher, a parent, AND superintendent Kelly. I had worried that I would be vastly under educated compared to the others in technology, so imagine my shock when I learned that conference had nothing to do with technology, other then as a conduit to make schools better. Most of the other students there were youth leaders who had an amazing amount of energy talking about making schools a better place but had no formal training in technology.
I found that while this conference was good in getting us all there and focusing out energies in one area. I learned more and got more Ideas talking to the others while in line at MacDonalds then the entire morning we spent inside

You can definitely meet a lot of interesting people in a MacDonald's line up. : ) I think each group had different experiences depending on the discussions going on. I can see how intimidating that might be being in a group with Mr. Kelly. I hope that you were able to take some ideas with you so that we could, while incorporating technology, create better "schools" and "classrooms". Thanks for you comments Maddie.
